American Reading Level Cards
Students will come home with a colored card for their instructional reading level. On these cards your will find word list and well as other reading skills such as comprehension and decoding skills that they should be working on as they are reading the books that they bring home with them. As a students moves from one level to the next they will bring home a new card. AR Testing Ticket
Be ready to take a quiz on a book that you read each week. Quizzes must be taken on school computers, so remember to bring a completed AR testing ticket form each week. Students must pass the quiz 80% or higher to count toward their monthly goal, so be sure you know the story well! Buzzing into a Good Book Reading Log Children should be reading for 30 minutes a day. Every time you read make sure you record the book on the reading log (these can by paper or digital stories). Where can I find books? book bags, school library books, classroom American Reading library, or another book of your choice (just make sure to look it up to ensure that it has a quiz).
