Buzz on in to Second Grade!
Dear Families,
Welcome new and returning mustangs! I am very excited to welcome you to our class for the 2018-2019 school year! I am so excited to meet each and every one of you! I can hardly contain my excitement as I prepare for our adventures together! A little about me, as part of my summer adventures before beginning our adventure together I tied the knot! That being said, I have not had a chance to change my name yet so I will signing everything with both names (Sopfe Dill) but anything that comes from the district will only say Sopfe (it's still me!).
In second grade you will be encouraged to succeed and flourish in a safe and dynamic learning environment. You will have the freedom to experiment, explore, seek, and question. I will help you to discover and achieve your highest potential and develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Second grade classrooms are on the big kid side of campus! We will be in Room 16 and we will line up at letter L. In the morning students are allowed to play on the playground starting at 7:45. School hours are Early Release Mondays 8:00-12:51 and Tuesday-Friday 8:00-2:18. We always get off to a quick start so please be on time.
Please make sure your child knows how they are going home at the end of the day. You may meet your child at the front gate or in the cage. If your child rides the bus they need to know which one, especially on the first day. Bus riders will need to keep their bus pass clipped to their backpacks. If there is a change in the way your child normally goes home, please send a note or call the office and they will get the message to me. Writing it down is always best!
Parents, I look forward to starting a new school year welcoming both new and familiar faces into our second grade classroom on Wednesday, August 15th and getting to know you guys on Thursday, August 16th for Back to School Night. There will be a principal’s presentation in the MPR at 5:30 and teacher presentation in room 16 at 6:00 and 6:30. Remember this is a time for you to get information about your child’s upcoming school year and your child will not find this night very exciting so please leave them at home so you don’t have to worry about them!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Sopfe Dill

Dear Student,
When you enter our classroom you are IMPORTANT. You are RESPECTED. You are AMAZING. You are LEADERS. You are DREAMERS. You are SCIENTISTS. You are ARTISTS. You are CREATIVE. You are ARCHITECTS. You are EXPLORERS. You are LOVED. You are a FRIEND. You are SPECIAL. You are THINKERS. You are READERS. You are JOURNALISTS. You are MATHEMATICIANS. You are the FUTURE. You are part of my heart and you are my STUDENTS.
We are going to have a "buzz-tastic" year! I hope you are ready to buzz into learning and I can't wait to see you on August 15th for the first day of school!
Love,
Mrs. Sopfe Dill
